Punjab Kings (PBKS) will battle it out with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in match 22 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) season at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Stadium in Mullanpur on Tuesday, April 08. PBKS have only lost one game in the three matches that they have played so far. While CSK has only managed to win one game in the four matches that they have played.
The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side has looked a pale shadow of the title-winning CSK squad from the 2023 edition. The problem with the team has been the core group of players not performing - MS Dhoni, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ravindra Jadeja, Shivam Dube, and Matheesha Pathirana. All these players have lacked consistency, which has led to CSK losing three games on the trot. To make things worse, new additions like Ashwin, Rachin Ravindra, and Rahul Tripathi, have also looked out of sorts.

CSK needs a collective effort to challenge the might of PBKS, who have so far managed to tick the majority of the boxes. However, the Shreyas Iyer-led side will be expecting better results from Arshdeep Singh and Yuzvendra Chahal.
