Star batter and former Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli has reunited with the franchise for the remainder of the season. The IPL 2025 season resumes on May 17, with RCB taking on KKR in Bengaluru.
The remaining games for the final leg of the season will be played in six major centres, namely Bengaluru, Mumbai, Lucknow, Jaipur, Delhi and Ahmedabad. Ahmedabad is likely to host the IPL 2025 final on June 3.
RCB finished second on the IPL 2025 points table before the season was postponed. They are on 16 points and a win against KKR will guarantee them a spot in the playoffs.

Meanwhile, Kohli has joined the franchise with the league set to resume from May 17. He was seen practicing at the Chinnaswamy along with his other teammates. The official Twitter handle of RCB shared a video of Kohli's training session.
Captioning the post, RCB wrote, "The King is back, with a big bright smile! Time to get down to bold business!"
So far, Kohli has scored 505 runs in 11 matches in the season. He has averaged 63.13 and struck at nearly 145 throughout the season. RCB are well placed on the points table and look good to make the playoffs. Rajat Patidar, the RCB skipper, will return to lead the side, dismissing any injury concerns.
RCB defeated KKR at the Eden Gardens in the IPL 2025 season opener. Meanwhile, the RCB vs KKR game is the reverse fixture between the two sides. KKR is ideally one loss away from getting knocked out from the playoff race. However, the Knight Riders have won their last five games at the Chinnaswamy, giving them some hope heading into the contest.
