Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain Pat Cummins ripped apart Delhi Capitals (DC) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) match at the Uppal Stadium. Opting to field first, SRH skipper Cummins was right on the money as he dismissed Karun Nair for a first-ball duck. Later, the pacer took the wickets of Faf du Plessis (3) and Abhishek Sharma (8) runs inside the power play to send the SRH crowds into a frenzy. DC could not recover from that massive jolt , as they could post only 133 runs at the end of their 20 overs.
Things could have been far worse if not for Tristan Stubbs's fighting unbeaten knock of (41) runs, which enabled DC to post a challenging total. Stubbs came at the crease when DC were tottering at 29 for the loss of five wickets. The Protean first stabilized the innings with Vipraj Nigam (18) runs and later with DC's finisher Ashutosh Sharma, who chipped in with a valuable knock of (41) runs. However, on a good batting surface, the Capitals squandered a golden opportunity to post a challenging score onboard at the Uppal Stadium.

Apart from Pat Cummins, Jaydev Unadkat bowled terrifically as he picked up one wicket, giving away just 13 runs.
DC finish on a below-par score, as SRH have advantage heading into second innings
Heading into the second innings, SRH will be happier of the two sides as on a good batting wicket, they restricted DC to below par total. Notably, it is must must-win game for SRH, as a loss here could dispel their slim hopes of qualifying for the playoffs. Meanwhile, for DC, a loss here could jeopardize their chances of reaching the playoffs.
