Gujarat Titans (GT), courtesy of their openers Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharshan, have yet again made a splendid start in their match against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Ahmedabad on Friday.
The GT openers have been the most consistent in the league and yet again, they added key runs at the top. Shubman Gill (52 runs off 26 balls) and Sai Sudhashan (48 runs off 23 balls) hit as many as 13 fours and two sixes inside the powerplay as the Titans reached 82 for no loss in six overs to mark their best powerplay ever in the IPL.
Mohammed Shami's second over (48 runs in 3 overs) which was the third of the GT innings went for 20 runs which gave the Titans the momentum that they needed. SRH skipper Pat Cummins (21 runs in 2 overs) won the toss and opted to bowl first in this all-important game against the Titans which is a must-win for them to stay alive in the contest.

Sai Sudharshan Scored 20 Runs Of Shami's Second Over
The Titans are heading into this game after their loss to Rajasthan Royals in their previous match when the world witnessed 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi score his maiden IPL century.
Meanwhile, after the seamers bowled the first six overs for SRH, they turned to spin in the seventh over as Zeeshan Ansari came into bowl. He gave the team the important wicket of Sudharshan and broke the partnership. The leggie dismissed the southpaw in the fifth delivery off his first over. Jos Buttler (19 runs in 11 balls) then walked out to bat and went past 4000 runs in the IPL. Meanwhile, Gill brought up yet another fifty in Ahmedabad as they piled on the pressure on SRH. After 10 overs, they posted 120/1.
CSK and RR have already been eliminated from IPL 2025. SRH are placed ninth on the IPL 2025 points table with six points from nine games. If they lose against GT, they will step closer to elimination.
